5.7 million tonne of iron ore extracted in 9 months in Iran

Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization said that in the first 9 months of the Iranian calendar year of 1393, 8 big iron ore production units yielded more than 25.7 million tonne of iron ore in the form of concentrates, pellets, magnetite and graded iron.

It said that in the period under study, Chadormalu Industrial-Mineral Complex in Yazd and Golgohar Facility in Kerman produced more than 9 million and 7.5 million tonne of iron ore respectively.

Markazi Iron Ore Facility in Kerman with 3.9 million tonne of output, Sangan Iron Ore Complex in Khorassan Razavi, Sirjan Iron Ore Production Unit in Kerman, Jalalabad Zarand, Mishdavan and Falat Markazi units in Kerman Province had shares of 2.2 million, 1 million tonne, 978,000 tonne, 597,000 tonne and 316,000 tonne respectively.

8 major iron ore production units, i.e. Chadormalu, Gol Gohar, Markazi, Sangan, Sirjan, Jalalabad, Mishdavan, and Falat Markazi, produced as many as 17.043 million tonne of iron ore in the first half of this year, showing 2% increase compared to the figure in the same period the previous year.
